are these actually drawings or just photo manips/traces?

All drawings. Plenty of reference used - that's my car and also my old house so I'm pretty familiar with them, but asides from looking at pictures (/out the window at the car) it's just me drawing. That's probably why I've cocked up her hands and the buildings got pretty, er, sparse.

Thanks! A lot of credit must go to MangaStudio's lovely Big Fat Pencil, which serves to cover up a lot of my wobbly lines!

IT's looking good, but you know I dig your artwork from Deviantart, so that's no surprise. What is the "Big Fat Pencil" in Manga Studio? Is that an MS5 thing?

Only critique here is the last "by fucking car". It feels out of place in the panel with the woman. I think if you'd placed that caption as it's own inset panel (breaking the border of the woman in the shower panel)or done an inset panel of the car with the dialogue there, it would have 'read' more effectively.

Good stuff. Keep it up!

Thanks! You're right about the text I think. At present, only the narrator's voice is important and I was trying to get that over, but think I've just made it a little confusing instead.

The big fat pencil's nothing fancy. I just use the 'Thick Pencil' rather than any of the (very nice) thin hard ones. Rather than pencilling it, I always try to work as if I'm painting it. That's more obvious in the next page, but I find it easier to work that way, and it's certainly more forgiving.
